Many of you may have seen or heard about the Millie Bobby Brown post on Instagram last week on March 3rd, following the increased scrutiny surrounding her appearance.
The “Stranger Things” star shared a vulnerable three-minute video; “I want to take a moment to address something that I think is bigger than just me”
For years, women have been scrutinised for their appearances; too thin, too fat, too loud, too quiet, too…too…too…
Too much this or too much that, no wonder women have been left riddled with internal narratives of not good enough or too much/not enough.
However, it is refreshing to see Gen Z challenging the bullying nature of these so-called journalists and reminding the world, women are much more than just their physical appearances.
So this year here at ARCH, we wanted to take a moment to remind women that the most important thing to focus on this year is health and purpose. All women are fearfully and wonderfully made, with a unique gift to share with the world in their human female suit.
Large or small, tall or thin, light or dark, young or old, we all came here with nothing and will leave with nothing, therefore the most important focus should be on empowerment, of ourselves and one another, so we can live life to our fullest expression and leave the world better than when we came.
This starts with good self-care, nourishing our body, mind and spirit. Knowing ourselves and our purpose so we can be a beacon of light to those around us and empower others to do the same.
The more we step into this place of unconditional love and acceptance of ourselves and others, the healthier our bodies will express as a result!
The more we can love and honour our own soul’s journey, the more we can love and honour those around us.
So on this day, let us all be reminded of the beauty within us; the perfect, unique design of our own soul, crafter to be here for a reason bigger than ourselves.
Here to empower others to be everything they were created to be, without fear of being too much or not enough. Let us remind ourselves of our inner beauty and uniqueness and share our gifts with the world.
